Militant commitments in political and partisan youths (Argentina, 2013-2015)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper analyzes youth recruitment and participation in three political organizations (Republican Proposal or Pro, the Socialist Party and the Evita Movement) that gained prominence in the recent political scene in Argentina. Based on the sociology of activist commitment, the article explores the universe of youth activism by showing who these activists are, how they begin to participate and how they define their commitment and in relation to which repertoire of actions. The aim is to go beyond the ideological definitions of each political organization and to identify common features and differences in the way youth commitments are processed.
