The sociological imagination of Pablo González Casanova
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article analyzes a section of the work of Pablo González Casanova interpreted as a sociological imagination that reflects the task he set himself in the 1960s: to define the meaning of social science in Mexico and Latin America to understand and confront major problems of his time. This paper seeks to encourage the study of the work of the sociologist with the aim of contributing to the memory of this discipline in Mexico and, if so, to find inspiration to meet the challenges of social sciences in today’s globalized world.
