The perspective of the multilevel research program as systematic theory methodology

Abstract

This paper presents a specific research design in systematic sociological theory, based on the concept of the multilevel research program to address the chronic theoretical and methodological deficit in this field. The design proposes a methodologically bilingual unit of analysis designed to integrate the perspectives of discourse analysis and comparative conceptual analysis. To introduce the topic, it discusses the fundamental systematic proposals of Merton, Ritzer, Schluchter and Mascareño.
